Solving the SWS-Challenge mediation problem with the jABC/jETI framework

چکیده
In the Semantic Web Service Challenge (SWSC), several international groups analyze how semantic web techniques can help to overcome interoperability issues of existing system [5] on the basis of concrete scenarios and with discussion and comparison of approaches and solutions [9]. Our group, representing the Center of Innovation on Service Centered Continuous Engineering (SCCE), addresses this challenge by using the jABC/jETI framework, a service-oriented, model driven environment. The SWSC mediation scenario [8] is in fact a good example for the usage of the presented framework. In the following we briefly describe the SWSC mediation scenario, then we introduce the jABC/jETI framework (Sect. 2) and how it was used to solve the mediation problem (Sect. 3), finally we conclude in Sect. 4.

In this final contribution we summarize the current status and achievements of the SWS Challenge, present the perspectives and future steps, and summarize the lessons learned so far both concerning this Challenge and the non-competitive problem driven comparison of approaches in general, as for instance in the context of other initiatives with a similar spirit (like the jETI-FMICS and Bio-jETI ...
متن کاملSynthesizing Semantic Web Service Compositions with jMosel and Golog
In this paper we investigate different technologies to attack the automatic solution of orchestration problems based on synthesis from declarative specifications, a semantically enriched description of the services, and a collection of services available on a testbed. In addition to our previously presented tableaux-based synthesis technology, we consider two structurally rather different appro...
متن کاملGeneFisher-P: Variations of GeneFisher as Processes in BiojETI 1- (part of ”From Components to Processes”)-
PCR primer design is an everyday, but not trivial task requiring state-of-the-art software. We describe the popular tool GeneFisher and explain its recent restructuring using workflow techniques. We apply a service-oriented approach to model and implement GeneFisher-P, a process-based version of the GeneFisher web application, as a part of the Bio-jETI platform for service modelling and executi...
متن کاملThe jABC Approach to Mediation and Choreography
Our approach to the SWS-Challenge 2006 Phase I uses the JavaABC [1] for mediation and choreography. jABC is a flexible and powerful framework for service development based on Lightweight Process Coordination. Users easily develop services and applications by composing reusable building-blocks into (flow-)graph structures that can be animated, analyzed, simulated, verified, executed, and compile...
